Bevan Group serves up a refreshing delivery for Carlsberg Britvic.

If Carlsberg made trucks, they might look a lot like the latest round of Carlsberg Britvic vehicles delivered by leading bodybuilder Bevan Group.

The West Midlands-based specialist is part-way through the process of supplying 57 new trucks to the multi-beverage powerhouse. They are joining a fleet of 350 heavy vehicles and 120 trailers based around the UK, which deliver Carlsberg Britvic’s extensive range of beers and soft drinks, as well as related products including CO2 gas canisters, to pubs, hotels and restaurants across the country.

Based on 26-tonne gvw Mercedes-Benz Actros 2530 chassis, supplied by dealer Midlands Truck & Van, the trucks all feature bespoke curtainside bodies with a number of unique design elements tailored precisely to Carlsberg Britvic’s requirements.

Bevan Group Sales Director Roy Shelton explains: “Our association with Carlsberg Britvic began during the Covid pandemic, when supply chain problems meant new chassis were hard to come by. They bought some used trucks, which had our bodies already fitted – these were already more than eight years old but were in such good condition that the fleet team asked us to submit a bid for their next batch of new vehicles. We’ve been working together ever since.

“These latest trucks have been developed to handle traditional pub deliveries as well as an increasing number of palletised loads, to reflect recent changes in Carlsberg Britvic’s working patterns. They are built to EN12642-XL standard with bespoke load restraint systems, and each chassis has a set of six ladders for access and egress to the load deck.

“They also have kerb ramps, safety lighting and Dhollandia cantilever tail lifts with custom-built safety gates. Their curtains are emblazoned with nine different livery designs, all supplied and fitted by our in-house graphics team, Graphics Depot, featuring well-recognised products from the comprehensive Carlsberg Britvic drinks range.”

Carlsberg Britvic National Fleet Manager Kevin O’Rourke said: “Having been attracted initially by the build quality of Bevan Group’s bodies, we’ve been very impressed by the team’s collaborative approach to working with various departments within our business to refine and enhance the specification of our vehicles.

“These latest trucks are the result of the excellent working partnership that we’ve developed and will help us deliver the highest standards of service to our customers around the UK.”

Bevan Group, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is an established supplier to some of the biggest names on Britain’s roads. Roy Shelton added: “These trucks are going to be working hard throughout 2026 and for many years to come, delivering the nation’s favourite drinks. We’re looking forward to seeing them out and about – they will be hard to miss!

“We pride ourselves on offering bespoke solutions to meet each customer’s unique requirements and the Carlsberg Britvic vehicles are another great example of our customer-centric approach to body design and build. The longevity of Bevan bodies is well recognised and is backed by our industry-leading eight-year warranty.

“Like all Bevan-bodied vehicles, these trucks are built better for longer. We think they’re probably the best drinks delivery trucks on the road.”
